The Brevon Studio Artists

Past Events - Wentworth 30th May 2010

The Brevon Studio Artists were invited to attend an event held by the Marquess of Newcastle's Regiment of Foote.

The regiment is in the Sealed Knot, a society which re-enacts the battles and daily life from the English Civil War period (1642-1651). On Sunday they set up camp at Wentworth old Church near Rotherham.

The artists had battles of their own, not with the Roundheads and Cavaliers but with nature, a strong wind was gusting though the Church yard threatening to blow the canvas away.

Terry, Katherine and Nathan worked on a single canvas to capture the activity in the Newcastle's camp and the beautiful setting of the church ruins and graveyard.
